This tour combines walking activities in Dubrovnik area and wine tasting in famous cellars of Peljesac peninsula and area of Konavle in Dubrovnik vicinity Dubrovnik. Tour length 8 days (7 nights) and its self guided and guided tour, this tour is designed for a small groups and couples.

Itinerary

1st Day

Arrival in Dubrovnik airport, meet and transfer to Dubrovnik accommodation, rest of the day on your own.


2nd Day

After breakfast we collect and transfer you to Dubrovnik Old town where we meet your local English speaking guide who will lead you through Old centre, after 2 hours guided tour you have time for refreshment (cafe, lunch, just walking through streets...) after sightseeing your guide will show you where Dubrovnik port is. There you will embark on a ferry which will take you on Island Lokrum. Rest of your day you spend on this interesting island vicinity Dubrovnik, besides nice walking paths which will take you on highest island peak (fort Royal) you can enjoy walking in Botanical garden and eventually swimming in some of many hidden bays. Late afternoon departure to old port of Dubrovnik, short walk through Dubrovnik main street Stradun, after that you can walk to your Dubrovnik accommodation or you can use city bus.


3th Day: Sipan walks, distance 15 km

Second day of Dubrovnik we go to the island of Sipan, there are many possibilities to walk and to explore island of the fisherman's, farmers and old castles. There are two settlements of rich history and monuments, in history Sipan was residential place of Dubrovnik patricians, so if you follow the road from port Sudjuradj along the vineyards and olive trees to (western part of the island) port of the Luka you will find many interesting sights: old churches, summer residential palaces, beautiful pine forest, hidden bays… upon arrival in port of Luka you have time for relax: lunch in some excellent small tavern, or café in small cafe bar, for swimming or for walking further inland of the island. Late afternoon you have to return to port of Sudjradj where boat departs to Dubrovnik.


4th Day: Peljesac peninsula, wine testing

Today we go to peninsula Peljesac. Tour takes you to the beautiful Pelješac peninsula. Located in the heart of South Dalmatia, this picturesque area is home to some of the most intriguing red wines in Europe. Our private wine tour includes visit to small medieval town of Ston (one of the most town walls about 5,5 km), after short sightseeing tour we continue to Peljesac villages: Ponikve, Potomje, where we will visit some of the local wine producers and taste their famous wine: Dingac, Postup, Plavac… after cellars and wine yards we continue to village Ponikve where we will have lunch at local family…after lunch we return to Dubrovnik.


5th Day: Konavle countryside hiking (distance 15 – 30 km)

After breakfast we collect you from Dubrovnik and we transfer you to Cavtat, Cavtat will be your base for next 3 days. This medieval town on the edge of Konvle valley with many small villages is ideal place for hiking trips to countryside. Hiking pathway starts in Cavtat and continues among villages, forests, fields and vineyards to village Cilipi and continues behind and above other villages and ends in village Radovcici. Total distances of the trails and paths are about 15 km in one direction (from Cavtat to village Radovcici). For return to Cavtat you can use same way, or take a local bus.


6th Day: Konavle wine tour

During morning-day we collect you from Cavtat and we continue driving to Konavle countryside, we stop in village Komaji where we visit local wine producer, after short sightseeing of the wine yards and cellar we taste domestic wines and liquors, domestic ham and cheese, after introducing with local wines we continue drive further to country side…afternoon we depart to Cavtat.


7th Day: Free day on your own

You have all day for yourself, to explore Cavtat little bit more, or alternatively to book with us some optional trip (Mount Snjeznica trekking trip to Montenegro or to Mostar etc.)


8th Day: Departure day

We arrange transfer from Cavtat to Dubrovnik airport.

If the tour is divided into 2 different months and there are 2 different tour prices then we charge it on the costs of the month where they spend more days (if the tour start May 29th and end June 5th) then we charge it on rates from June.


Included:

7 x accommodation, breakfasts, maps and route notes, local emergency support, time table of buses, boats and other useful information, luggage transfers, orientation by our local agent for each destination and service of meeting and support during traveling between tour destinations. Transfers and boat tickets, national park entrance fee in Mljet included according to tour itinerary.

Flights and transfers not mentioned above, meals and beverages not mentioned above.
